FROM MONDELLO TO THE HIGH SEA

At just 13 years old, Fulvio was sailing in the Gulf of Mondello with the Flying Junior of the Lauria Club, dreaming of regattas and adventures. Between 1964 and 1978, he participated in numerous regattas across Italy on various boat classes, winning many of them.
In 1976 with Anna, his first boat, a 6.80 m wooden cutter without winches or electronics, he explored the Sicilian coasts and, for two months, the Ionian Greece.
A lifetime dedicated to sailing and a passion for the sea.

IN A REGATTA WITH THE MONOMANIA

From 1998 to 2008, Fulvio, on the Monomania, a fast Isola 34, was the protagonist of numerous regattas and victories. With advanced electronics, a gennaker, and a roller jib, the boat offered winter sailing school experiences and summer sailing weeks for children aged 8 to 14, as well as vacations for friends and guests. The summer cruises reached the coasts of Sardinia, Corsica, Croatia, and Greece, accumulating miles and providing countless emotions and happiness.

BULBO MATTO AND THE OCEAN

Bulbo Matto is a Sun Fast 43, purchased in 2008, marking the realization of a great dream. After sailing between the Balearic Islands and the Aegean, from 2012 to 2018, it crossed the Atlantic Ocean, reaching the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, the Galapagos, Mexico, and all the way to French Polynesia. During these years, it hosted numerous crews and sailors from all over the world.
The incredible sea and life experiences are recounted in the author’s blog and books.

Upwind, it sails at over 7 knots, while on downwind courses, it has exceeded 14 knots. At anchor, the large cockpit offers the utmost comfort for enjoying aperitifs and dinners, immersing oneself in the magic of sunsets.
